This week the challenge is being sponsored by Oddball Art which provided the image I used.
One lucky person will get 2 images. I encourage you to get out your designer papers or create your own and join in the challenge over at Hiding In My Craft Room.
For this card I cut the fairy out leaving the top and bottom intact so that I could pop her out. Leaving the quote still attached to my print. After cutting I decided I didn't like all the white showing. So I decided to cut a strip of the floral to put through the slit. I also made a slit on the top paper to cover all but the hair. I didn't have enough of the brown strip to go all the way across But I think it works as it looks like there is a step. I used foam dots to help her look up. I colored her with pencils. The glitter paint I used on the wings didn't show up. Probably because it is so old.
The three papers used are from Once Upon A Time by DCWV. I love how all three papers worked.
A friend gave me a fun pack of Light Bright by Colorbok designer paper. I had fun figuring how to create the background using two of the papers. It reminded me of the fun I had playing with the wooden tangram pieces as a child. I had wanted to use all three papers in my background but couldn't figure out how to have it come out right so decided to use the third piece as a mat. Image was colored with pencils and Stickles. It was fun doing a different type of background.
Thank you for stopping by. Wishing you Happy Frugal Crafting till we meet again.
Love your cards. The background on the bright card is awesome.
