Hi everyone this group I belong to on facebook has a challenge this week for using a color which you associate Summer with. I was thinking about the blue of the water at the beach and the blue sky. So I decided to do a card I've been thinking of doing for awhile.
Curtain please!
I printed a photo I took on one of my trips to the ocean on card stock. I then heat embossed the sea gull. The sand wasn't wide enough in the photo so I added a strip of adhesive cork. I then stamped with Stazon Timber Brown ink the sandcastle on adhesive cork. I hand cut out the sand castle and adhered it on the cork strip.
There you have it my beach card. I love how nicely the sand castle stamped on the cork. The cork adds a little bit of texture to the card and those who know me know I'm all about texture.
Just a reminder that the 50's flashback challenge has begun. Details can be found here: http://justforfunrubberstamps.blogspot.com/2016/06/june-challenge-50s-flashback.html I would love to see your creations.
Hot weather is on its' way so not sure I'll be crafting much as my playroom gets hot. :-(
Thank you for stopping by and wishing you Happy Frugal Crafting till we meet again!
Very creative to print onto cardstock. I love how this turned out, and the white seagull looks terrific. Stamping on cork adds a nice touch too.
