Hi everyone! I can't believe how early Easter came this year. This card uses a napkin I found at a thrift store. I never know where I'm going to find crafting goodies. ;-)
The egg is die cut and then wet on wet water colors colored the white card stock. A circle stencil was then used with ink. The Just For Fun Small House Wren is stamped on a wax food divider. The sentiment is from the Just For Fun unmounted sentiment 1 stamp. I used a die cut which did not work for a different sentiment.
Wishing you a Happy Easter and Frugal Crafting till we meet again!

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Hi everyone in a few days it will be St. Patrick's day so today I have a card to share for you. If you have been following my blog you know I like to play and do different things. For this card I used a print I on fabric created with my Gelli plate for the background.
The Gelli print didn't turn out like I had planned. I had stamped into my coat of paint but the stamped images didn't really turn out those are the ghost shamrock images. I decided to see about stamping with the Just For Fun shamrock stamp using paint. I love how it turned out and will be using paint again with stamps on fabric. After the paint was dry I painted with the dark green I used for the shamrocks a frame.
I cut out the tag and used another Just For Fun stamp. I edged the tag with gold ink and colored the Celtic images with a glaze pen.
I think my clipart image is from a Dover Sampler as I could not find it at Graphic Fairy. Graphic Fairy does have some similar images you could use. I turned her into a print and cut and after she was cut out edged the image with black ink. She is then pop dotted onto the card.
There you have it my St. Patrick's card. Do you create cards for St. Patrick's day? If you have a Gelli Plate have you tried pulling prints on fabric?
Happy St. Patrick's Day! May the luck of the Irish be with you. Wishing you Happy Frugal Crafting till we meet again!

JFF Spring Challenge
Hi everyone I'm happy to announce the first Just For Fun challenge. The plan is to make the challenges a monthly event. For our first challenge the theme is Spring. I encourage you to check out the details and to join in the fun
.http://justforfunrubberstamps.blogspot.com/2016/03/celebrate-spring-challenge.html
Here is my inspiration piece.
The background is made from pieces of color tissue paper glued on card. Then Satin Varnish brushed over it. The daffodil is a Just For Fun stamp which was stamped on fabric and then painted with fabric paint and Stickles. Tip if the fabric paint is too thick so it hides details you can carefully blot it. The paint makes the fabric stiff enough to make it easier to cut. If washable paints and glitter products used stamped images like this would make appliques for projects. The sentiment is printed on copy paper and then my tissue wrapping paper glued over it. Easier than printing directly on tissue wrapping paper and not as stark appearing.
Thank you for stopping by and do come back. I've been busy cleaning, organizing, and decorating my apartment. I hope to soon have some home decor items done and posted.
